John Mylroie's Biography

John Mylroie is Professor Emeritus of Geology at Mississippi State University. Phi Beta Kappa and soccer letter winner at Syracuse University, he and his wife Joan have done field work in 25 countries. They have written hundreds of professional papers, reports, field guides and articles specializing in cave development and function. John has earned the National Speleological Society's highest awards for cave research. Field work in remote settings has given John detailed cultural experiences with a variety of human and natural settings. Unlike his science research, John now gets to make things up and write fiction: mystery, spy thriller, fantasy, and science fiction.
